SCW Provides Red, White and You
Stimulus Package for Government and Education Clients
Innovative rebate program turns the
table and provides cash back
for government and education organizations
ATLANTA– April 28, 2009 –Southern Computer Warehouse (SCW) today announced
it is launching the
Red, White & You rewards program, which gives government and education
clients cash back on all purchases.
“Budgets are
tightening everywhere and this certainly includes government agencies and
education departments,” said Joseph Gabriel, chief executive officer of SCW.
“We wanted to help stimulate the economy in our own way by providing a rewards
plan that will allow already burdened programs with some extra cash. Our
objective is to help lift some of the strain off of tight budgets so there is
potential for our clients to continue to be successful, which ultimately makes
us successful.”
The Red, White &
You program provides a quarter of a point cash rebate on all purchases through
SCW. All government and education customers are automatically eligible for the
program. The rebate checks are payable directly to the agency, city, county or
school district, and they may use the cash in any way they deem useful for
their organization. Checks are not payable to individuals.

& You’ program is exactly the type of groundbreaking initiative that is
direly needed in today’s economic environment,” said Jan Jones, support
specialist of Orlando Utilities Commission. “The program offers us a virtually
effortless way to lift some of the strain on budgets which will ultimately help
this fiscal year end on a more positive, strong note. We appreciate SCW’s
willingness to step up and support clients like us with this very welcomed rewards
program for purchasing quality products.”
SCW is teaming up with
its manufacturing partners and using the marketing dollars to fund the rebate
program. The company is not raising prices, and will continue to be committed
to the world-class customer service to which SCW clients have grown accustomed.
Some rebate programs put a cap on how much cash back a customer can get, but
with the Red, White & You program, there are no caps.
"Our organization
just received our first rebate check," said Julie Christopher, CIO &
assistant superintendant for Bibb County Schools. "The program doesn't
require us to change our purchasing practices, the rebates come in
automatically."
